In early July 2014 the Billerica Recreation Department hosted an exhibition with Pickleball, a paddle sport created for all ages and skill levels. The rules are simple and the game is easy for beginners to learn, but can develop into a quick, fast-paced, competitive game for experienced players. Essentially, the game combines many elements of tennis, badminton and ping-pong.

The Bare Hill Rowing Association, in cooperation with the Town of Stow Recreation Commission, offers summer Learn to Row Classes for Beginners – Youth (12 years+) to Adult on Lake Boon at Pine Bluff Beach.

The Little League Challenger baseball program pairs typically developing players with those that have developmental, physical and mental disabilities. The league draws players from numerous towns, but plays at Pollard Field in Billerica.
